Another Vlog, and an update on upcoming patterns, and a shameless picture of my own cosplay.

First things first, I'm going to embed my next Vlog post. I don't have any new progress on Aqua, as the things shown in the videos I've been posting have taken most of my free time, but anyway here ya go.

Now just a quick update on actual cross stitch patterns! I've been watching an old favorite of mine, Digimon, and I will be taking some time away from cosplay to make a pattern of Yamato (Americans know him as Matt) and his digimon, Gabumon. Matt was my favorite growing up, and rewatching the series, I still love him every bit as much as before. The magic of this show just doesn't wear off! I even ran out once in 15 degree weather just to take a cosplay pic of Matt, which wound up looking like this!
Well, all that aside, I hope I didn't bore you too much, and if I did, feel free to post a comment telling me how I can better entertain you!

2 Vlog updates, and pitiful progress on Aqua...

Well I decided it would be more beneficial to make my Vlog posts bi-weekly, so they will be posted on Wednesdays, and Fridays. So I"m going to embed in here for you both today's, and Wednesday's updates on my Vlog, then show off the progress (it's really hardly any progress at all) on my Aqua stitch.

Wednesday's Vlog

Today's Vlog

And here's my pitifully small progress on Aqua, I'll probably work on her some more today, I don't have much to do today, and tomorrow will be spent buying fabric for Dylan's Hades costume. See ya then.

And so the Convention Season begins!!!

The title's a little misleading, as for at least in my mine, the season never ends...but alas, my family seems to think it doesn't start until there's only a couple months away and we've lined up some horribly difficult costume that must be done so it can compete in the cosplay contest.
Anyway, that aside, I'll fill you all in on what I'm rambling about.

Every year my family goes to Anime NebrasKon in Omaha,NE. The first two years, my mom didn't go with us, she was working and not very interested in the whole thing, but since she had to make some 7ft wide bat wings, a spandex nightmare, and Mayuri from Bleach (because there's no simple way to put the trouble he was), she's decided it's worth her time to see the other incredible costumes there are at the con.

This year's line up is as follows.
Me: Hichigo Shirosaki from Bleach
My Sister Alicia(Ami): Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach
My Brother Cameron: Chernobog from Fantasia/Kingdom Hearts
My Brother Dylan: Hades from Disney's Hercules/Kingdom Hearts
My Mom: Sir Integra Hellsing from Hellsing Ultimate
MY Dad: Master Roshi from Dragon Ball Z...because that's who he always is................

To keep interested parties posted, my sister and I decided to do a series of Vlogs on our costume progress, although this video was filmed on Wednesday and we filmed another one today, I just today got the editing done for the first one. I plan to upload one every Friday to keep to a regular schedule.

Feel free to leave questions or comments either on this page or on youtube, and I may answer them in the third vlog (since like I said, the second one is already filmed)

See Ya!

Kingdom Hearts Aqua pattern and AkuRoku day fanart!!!

I was hoping to have started on her before I posted this pattern, but my time was spent on something other than stitching yesterday, fanart and buying thread. Since the only decent thread/fabric/craft store is over 100 miles from where I live, buying thread was an all day adventure for me. (I also did a lot of other shopping...like for new MLP Equestria girls dolls <3 ). Anyway, here's my pattern for Aqua. I really like the three blues in this, and the pink is a nice feminine touch I can't wait to sew.

Now onto the other topic listed in the title, today is AkuRoku day, the day to celebrate the pairing of Axel and Roxas from Kingdom Hearts <3 (due to the day being the 13th, Roxas's number, and the month being the 8th, Axel's Number). For this day I did a mixed media piece. The background is watercolor, their skin is crayon, and their hair is colored pencil. The whole thing was drawn out in pencil, then traced over with manga pens to give it a nice bold look.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pattern, or the art, or both. Both took a lot of time and I love the way they came out. I can't wait to start on Aqua, and probably will when I'm done typing. Until Next time!

Terra Pillow Complete at last! My first pillow ever~

So just last night I finished my Terra pillow, I finished the actual stitch a few days ago, but I figured I wouldn't update until the pillow was finished. His back is a cuddly brown flannel, and his ruffles are a shiny metallic gold (I thought it would suit his earthy color scheme).

I've actually already completed making the pattern for Aqua, but I'm gonna wait until tomorrow to post her, that way I can get started on stitching her on this pretty light blue Aida I found at a thrift store. Let me know what you think, and if you watch this blog and haven't hit the follow button, hit it and comment I'd love to get to know you :)
